Uncontrollable and unfortunate circumstances can fill individuals with grief, anger, hurt, hatred, pain, sadness, dislike, rebellion and bitterness. These emotions can contribute to a wounded and bleeding heart. You tend to lose who you once thought you were because of these emotions. How do you describe an emotional rollercoaster to someone that has not gone through what you have? And how do you break out of that vicious emotional cycle? How do you stop your heart from feeling these things, knowing fully well that if you don’t, your emotional state can get worse?
A person needs to discharge the negative emotions that have bound them up and experience a healing effect in a correct and harmonious manner, so that, as Aristotle would say, the balance of one’s heart is restored. This illustration was created with this in mind – to unshackle the heart and let everything that has been bottled up inside come out. The design shows the heart, body and soul been released from their bound up state, creating a gigantic emotional explosion.
